Sync Sengled lights to your music
Sengled bulbs snap from one colour to the next. Set up right, four of them pulse together on the beat.
How Sengled looks with music
Our four Sengled bulbs change colour and brightness in one step rather than gliding. They look best with clear, punchy moves, so FirePod gives them fewer, bigger changes: they rest low between beats and hit full brightness on the beat.
Getting all four to pulse at the same moment took tuning. Early on, each one seemed to keep its own time. Now they move together.
What to know before you start
They take a moment to show each change, so on a very fast song they won’t flash on every beat. Mix them with quicker bulbs, like WiZ, and let these carry the bigger moments.
Sengled’s own music features
Sengled’s music options are limited to a few products. The Solo Color Plus is a bulb with a speaker built in, and its Rhythm setting in the Pulse app changes color with the music it’s playing. The Sengled Wi-Fi light strip has a Music Sync mode in the Sengled Home app.
The Sengled Matter bulbs in our test room don’t use a Sengled app at all. You add them to Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings, and FirePod moves them to the music alongside every other brand.
Questions
Do Sengled bulbs have music sync?
Only a few. The Solo Color Plus speaker bulb has a Rhythm setting in the Pulse app that changes color with the music it plays, and the Sengled Wi-Fi light strip has a Music Sync mode in the Sengled Home app. The Sengled Matter bulb has neither.
Does the Sengled Matter bulb work with the Sengled app?
No. Sengled says its Matter bulb works with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings, but not the Sengled app.
Why doesn't my Sengled bulb work with Alexa anymore?
Sengled's online service had long outages in 2025, and Amazon removed the Sengled Alexa skill. Sengled bulbs that support Matter can still join Alexa through Matter, without the skill.
